RingStix has won 4 game awards and I can see why! This simple game with only 5 pieces is a must have for any active family. You can play it at the beach, in the front yard, in the snow, in the wind, alone or in a group, even in the dark. The sticks are lightweight so even little kids can play. Players should hold the sticks so they can read RIngStix on the handles. One player has the ring on their two sticks. That player pulls their hands apart. The ring will fly off and hopefully in the direction of the other player. The receiving player tries to catch the ring on one stick or both. I have to admit, I am not the most graceful person, but my son and I picked up on this game pretty quick. He was a natural to start. The hardest part is catching the ring. Originally, I was trying to catch it on both rings, but that is much harder than scooping it up with one stick. If you get the RingStix original, you get a glow-in-the-dark ring and you can play it at night!
I love the warning on the package: The person playing RingStix may find them self outdoors, getting more exercise, being active, making friends and having much more fun!
I highly recommend RingStix for kids and adults like. If you want your kids to get outside more, this is the game for them. Would make a great Christmas present- even a great Yankee Swap gift.
