The highly anticipated third installment of the Nate Rocks series is here!
According to Nathan Rockledge, fifth grade has plenty of perks. Oh sure, there’s more work and that know-it-all, Lisa Crane, is still around – but, there’s a lot to look forward to as well: a laser tag birthday party, baseball at recess, and even a cool Halloween dance. Of course, all of that means nothing without the biggest perk of all . . . the class trip to New York City in the spring. If Nathan’s class can raise enough money to go, that is.
Give Nathan paper and a pencil and watch as his imagination turns him into Nate Rocks, hero and fifth grade super star. With adventures abound, Nate saves the day time and again. But will Nate be able to save the fifth grade trip?
Join Nathan, his hilarious family, and his friends, as he rocks the school in another fun Nate Rocks adventure.

Mom Does Reviews had the pleasure of interviewing Nate today! He is so much fun!
Pam: Hi Nate, thanks for joining us today. Can you tell us a little about yourself?
Nate: Hi. First, I’d like to thank you for interviewing me today. I promised my mom that I say that before I said anything else. So there, I said it – But, I really do mean it, honest. I’m super excited to be here. I hope you believe me. What was your question? Oh yeah – well I’m eleven years old and in fifth grade. Oh and you can call me Nathan. Nate is the name I use for my cartoon character.
Pam: Wow – you have your own cartoon character? Tell me more about that!
Nate: Oh, it’s not that big of a deal. It’s not like he’s in the Sunday comics or anything. See, whenever I start drawing, I kind of get a little carried away and drift off into adventures, where I (aka Nate Rocks) get to do really cool stuff, like save the city from giant robots and drive super-fast racecars.
Pam: That sounds like a big deal to me! So do you like school, Nathan?
Nate: It’s okay. 5th grade is much better than 4th grade, that’s for sure.
Pam: Why is that?
Nate: Well for starters, we no longer have to play those awful kickball games during recess. That alone makes it so much better. But then – on top of all that – we’ve got a cool Halloween dance AND an overnight class trip to New York City.
Pam: 5th grade does sound pretty cool! I’ll bet you’re looking forward to that trip!
Nate: Totally! But, we might not actually get to go. See it’s expensive and we have to raise money for it. Tommy and I have all these great ideas for fundraising, but that annoying Lisa Crane keeps butting in. Did I mention she’s annoying? Well she is – she may even be more annoying than my older sister, Abby. Girls! Ugh! Anyway – I really, really, REALLY want to go on this trip!
Pam: So what happens? Do you get to go?
Nate: Really? You expect me tell you? Sorry – you’re just going to have to read my new book, Nate Rocks the School, to find out the answer to that one. But hey – thanks for the interview. It was fun (And that time I’m not just saying it because my mom told me to!)
Thanks Nate! And thanks for supplying one of my readers with this awesome swag bag!
