Mommy Time-Out sent me this book, free of charge for review purposes. And what a great book it is! It’s fun, sassy, cute and full of things on my wish list!
Mommy Time-Out is a simple, phot0- driven book that offers busy, overwhelmed moms fun and relaxing ideas of things to do ALL BY YOURSELF. It even comes with easy to use forms to make sure your Time-Out really happens! It’s a picture book for moms! More pictures, less words because moms have enough to do already!
FYI- the women in the photos are not models- they are real mom like you and me!!
This book can be read all at once, over and over, or just flip to a random page and get inspired to take some time for YOU! I know one of my biggest issues is time management and not making “Alone time” as we call it in our house. We all know, if mom isn’t happy, NO ONE is happy. These fun activities, suggestions and ideas are simple things, but sometimes even simple things that you can do UNINTERRUPTED are a luxury. Seriously, how long has it been since you have been able to paint your own toe nails, all 10 and let them dry without getting distracted and beckoned by your little angels? I can’t remember the last time I was able to do that!
This book made me smile as I looked at the pages. Some things that I always took for granted, aren’t so easy anymore. My favorite is “Mommy Time-Out means that Mommy Can have a facial not made up of spit, snot or dirt.” Love that one!
I highly recommend this fun book for moms, moms-to-be, and dads! They need to realize what kind of Mommy Time-Outs are needed for their better half!

I am a mother of two girls, Kathryn (5) and Sofia (7), and we live in Palm Springs, CA. I have a B.A. in Business Administration from the University of La Verne, California and I work full-time. However, my real job is being a full-time mother. When I’m with my girls, I try my hardest to make a point of being present and in the moment with them, and when I’m not, my very intuitive daughters know it and they do not have a problem bringing it to my attention! And I am grateful for it, because then I know it’s time to have my Mommy Time-Out. I need to take care of me, so that I can be a better mother to them.

I’m a mom of three beautiful girls, Casey (born 2007), Keira (born 2009), and Cali (born 2013). I’m happily married and living in Austin after being transplanted from Southern Cali, and before that Colorado. I have a B.A. in English and a M.A. in Curriculum & Instruction from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. I’ve been writing creatively since I was 12, and love that I have the opportunity to use my talents to encourage moms everywhere to take that all important Time-Out. I know it isn’t easy to remember to put ourselves first, and how things can spiral out of control when we are mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually unbalanced. So here’s hoping we can help all you moms out there to take care of you!
