My Review:
What did we do before we had microwaves? I know I have always had one, for as long as I can remember. I remember when my mom was so excited about her microwave that had a turntable inside. Then when it was able to heat water in less than 2 minutes, it was even more exciting! In our hurry up world, microwaves allow us to be more efficient and take things to go. Of course, that can be good and bad. It’s good because we are more efficient and time is money. But it can be bad because we don’t spend as much time as a family cooking meals from scratch. I know my son enjoys helping me cook dinner. If it involves a microwave, it really isn’t cooking. It’s more like reheating!
My new Magic Chef Microwave is compact yet powerful! I was able to heat a cup of coffee in about 80 seconds. My mom will be thrilled when I tell her my new record! The 1000 watts enables me to heat leftovers quicker. The turntable helps the food heat more evenly so it requires less stirring. The express cook settings and add 30 second button make it so easy to program the microwave. I know some microwaves need to come with a tutorial because they are hard to figure out. My Magic Chef is very intuitive. I was able to heat my coffee without opening the instruction booklet! The microwave we have at work still stumps me to this day.
The clock is easy to set. Again, I didn’t even look at the manual first. The kitchen timer function is great. I didn’t have that on my old microwave. Sometimes you need one time for one dish and another timer for another dish. I love this feature.
Another great feature that all parents will love is the Control Lock. It shuts down the control panel pads so kids can put their toys inside and start fires. Matchbox cars don’t microwave very well. This is a great safety feature that should be on all microwaves.
I love the look of the Magic Chef. The Stainless Steel gives it that upgraded, expensive look and matches my other appliances. The only thing that bugs me are those pesky finger prints on Stainless Steel. I will just have to get my son cleaning stainless steel as part of his chores!
