About Gamesformotion
Gamesformotion is a Netherlands based company that creates tailor-made games for any purpose, from advertising to education. Besides developing their own selection of games, the company also produces popular, well known branded games as well. The company’s range of entertainment also features unique chocolate editions of the world’s more favorite games such as Monopoly, Trivial Pursuit™, Scrabble®, Pictionary, Clue, Twister, Battleship, Mr. Potato Head, and Memory.Gamesformotion has released classic childhood board game favorites including Candy Land, Monopoly, and more, which will all exclusively feature game pieces that you can eat. All of the chocolate games have the same essential features as their famous counterparts, except that their cards and letter tiles have been replaced with the finest Belgian milk chocolate encased within printed wrappers. Rules for all of the games have been slightly modified by Gamesformotion to ensure they’re always fun and easy to play. Now instead of playing solely for the bragging rights of winning, in many of the games, you now win all of the chocolate that you could hope for in one sitting. Now that’s something to pass go for.
What could be more fun then a pile of board games? Games that have pieces you can eat! How could anyone say no to that? In fact, I know that I was sent 4 games but one of them has mysteriously disappeared since it entered this house. I should have been looking for chocolate smudges on faces instead of monopoly game pieces!
We chose to play Guess Who first, since it was a 2 player game and my son was wanting to play. I think he wanted to play a game, or maybe he just wanted chocolate. Either way, he got both!
The game was easy to play (actually, we don’t have the original game so I couldn’t compare the rules) and we decided to go with 2 out of 3 games to get a winner. My son is old enough that I don’t ever “let” him win anymore. So I won the golden Chocolate coin! We ate quite a few of the game pieces and I was impressed by the quality of the chocolates. They are a creamy milk chocolate and just melt in your mouth. The game has so many pieces, we did NOT eat them all. That’s the only thing I don’t like about these games. The winner gets the chocolate coin AND all the pieces, or at least that’s what we decided. There is no way you can eat them all in one sitting.
The games themselves were very close to the original games. The boards were sturdy- no disposable and flimsy. The pieces were thick and wrapped so the chocolate stayed fresh. The cards and pieces that were not chocolate were made of thicker cardboard. You could use the cards again and play the game if you wanted. With all the games, you can use regular game pieces once you have eaten all your chocolate ones. These are great for a new spin on Family Game Night!
