About Blue Orange Games:
Blue Orange Games was founded in 2000 by Julien Mayot and Thierry Denoual in San Francisco, California. As a company, we are driven to spread the timeless pleasure of connecting face to face with family and friends around a great game.
Blue Orange Games has earned a reputation for award-winning products with remarkable quality and high play value. Our games are born from many sources, but we develop, design, and promote our games all in-house. We want our games to be enjoyed by the whole family for years to come, so every Blue Orange game meets the criteria of being easy to learn, skill building, and fun for all ages.
We at Blue Orange Games respect the environment and understand the need to work towards the preservation of our planet.
We launched a program in 2007 to benefit the environment and make our business more sustainable. We plant two trees for every tree used to create our wooden products and game cards. We planted 25,000 trees in 2012 and have planted over 100,000 trees to date!
I had the pleasure of reviewing Battle Sheep and Doodle Quest which made the Top 10 New Games 2014 List on The Noise on Toys. My children are really enjoying these newly added family games! I am enjoying the fact that they are playing and interacting with each other instead of watching TV or playing video games.
For example, Battle Sheep promotes skills such as: social play, abstract thinking, strategy, and focus & attention. These skills are so important to cultivate in our children. Two – four players can play at a time. Battle Sheep is appropriate for ages 7-adult. To win Battle Sheep players must conquer the most pasture space. This is a game of strategy that is fun for the whole family.
Their favorite game of the two was Doodle Quest. Most likely because they are Doodlers! Besides, they love to draw and are artsy crafty types. Doodle Quest is for ages 6 & up and allows for one – four players. It promotes visual creativity and focus & attention skills. The object of the game is to score as many points as possible while completing 6 challenging deep sea quests. With 36 illustrations and two levels to master, Doodle Quest is designed for hours of non-stop fun!
