WOW, I never knew making a grocery list could be so much fun! I had never head of hiku until i got an email asking me to review one- they called it a new kitchen gadget. It is that and much more. It’s like your shopping list in a cute, round refrigerator magnet. You can scan barcodes to add them to a shopping list or you can speak into it instead. NO MORE PAPER LISTS! No more forgetting the things you run out of. Be sure to follow the directions and download the app first. It will walk you through a few easy steps to activate the hiku and connect it to your phone. It takes just a few minutes. You can’t scan anything until the hiku is set up.
It took me 5 minutes to scan the things that I buy every week. When you scan barcodes, it will make a happy beep. If it doesn’t scan correctly, it will make a not so happy beep.
You can also press the big button to speak something to add to the list. So far, everything I have scanned has worked. A few items I had to rescan until I got a happy beep.
One of my favorite features is the lists it makes. You can choose for it to go to your own list apps or it will make lists in hiku. The lists it makes are organized by types- like canned foods, dairy, drinks, etc. How great is that? I showed my hubby and he was impressed. I can share the lists with his phone or my son’s phone so he can go shopping for me. No more excuses about not being able to read my writing.
I highly recommend the hiku for anyone who needs help keeping track of their grocery lists without using any paper. Not only is this little device fun, but it really works to keep you more organized. Want to save 20% on this last minute gift? Use coupon code ‘MOMDOES’ when shopping HERE.
