Calla Lily Bouquet Craft
Since Mothers Day is fast approaching, here is a fun craft to do in preparation of that wonderful day. All moms deserve flowers for Mothers Day, and any mom would be delighted with this Calla Lily bouquet. Most importantly this craft is quick, easy, and affordable even when making several bouquets.
All you need to make this bouquet are:
- 6 cotton rounds
- 6 green straws
- yellow paint
- 6 cotton swabs
- hot glue
- scissors
- 2 feet think wired ribbon
- 2 feet thinner ribbon
First you want to paint your cotton swabs yellow. I just dipped mine into the paint and laid them on top of others so the whole head could dry. Only paint one end of each and let them dry completely.
Next take your dry cotton swab and slide it into a straw. It should fit snug, but if it doesn’t add a drop of glue to the inserted end. Then continue this process until all six cotton swabs are in the straws.
Now you take a cotton round, and a straw, put hot glue on the back of the straw and place the straw against the lower middle of the cotton round. Then wrap the two sides around and use more hot glue to seal them together in the front of the straw. Next repeat this with the other five cotton rounds and straws.
Now you have six pretty little Calla Lilies, which you need to arrange so they are showing at different heights. Once they are just how you want them, lay the wider ribbon on the counter. Next carefully move the flowers onto the ribbon. Then tie the ribbon hard around the stems. After thattake the second skinnier ribbon and tie that around the same spot at the opposite angle. Then tie the wider ribbon into a bow, and add a second bow on top with the other ribbon.
Lastly trim the stems so they are all the same at the bottom. The result is an adorable bouquet for your mom or someone else special in your life. In addition to this craft being super cute, it is also easy for young children to do by themselves. You could use craft glue if the children will be gluing their own flowers to avoid possible burns with hot glue.
I Hope you love making your very own Calla Lily Bouquet!
