When your little one required a fully stocked diaper bag to leave the house, I often felt like I was packing for the weekend to just run hours for a couple of hours. But when your little one is in that in-between stage of potty trained but still needing backup clothing and clean up items, something smaller and more fashionable like the TWELVElittle’s Companion Bag Backpack is just the right size needed.

Behind the TWELVElittle Story
The story goes: An ancient emperor invited all the animals to a legendary race across the river. The first 12 animals to complete the race would have a permanent place in the calendar as a prize. Every animal represents one year of the 12-year cycle based on the Chinese zodiac. The year the person is born determines their animal sign.
You’ve likely heard reference to someone born in the “Year of the Rabbit” or “Year of the Dog”. Each animal is known to have certain traits and characteristics that describe the person’s personality and destiny. Our 12 Little Wonders key chains are small reminders of what animal we represent, and thus, what special personalities you and your family individually carry.
My Thoughts:
TWELVElittle carries a large variety of full-sized diaper bags and accessories for Mom’s as well as some super cute backpacks, lunch bags, and iron on patches for little ones. Being able to personalize your items sure makes my little ones love their lunch bags more!
Their full-sized diaper bags have room for EVERYTHING you need to care for your little one (maybe even two). They are made to last and look good while in use. I appreciate that they are fashionable and don’t scream “diaper bag”.
I really like the companion backpack because it looks like a regular backpack but it isn’t! It is made from the same great material that holds up to lots of use and it has several pockets and places to tuck items your little one needs.
I have to share something funny about this companion backpack. When it arrived, I had it on the table and my college daughter came in and called “dibs” on it. She grabbed it and put it on her back, claiming ownership because it was a beautiful bag and she would like to use it for her school bag. When I explained it was a companion bag (for a little one), she said it didn’t look like a diaper bag at all. Of course other than the changing pad, which she said would be great to have when she wants to sit down on a bench or wall at the college.
Later on, my son came in from work. He is an ICU nurse and picked up the companion bag and asked if he could have it for work. Again I explained that it was for little ones and he said it would be perfect for him to keep his personal items in at work and to keep them safely stored in his locker when he was home instead of having to remember to bring them back and forth each shift.
I think both of their reactions speak very highly of the backpack. Yes, it would be a great companion bag for your toddler support items but it would also be a nice backpack for someone that wants a well-made bag. Because this bag has pockets and is made from material than can easily be cleaned, it will hold up well to other daily uses.
Right now, the bag is being used as a companion bag for our two-year-old. She “thinks” she doesn’t need diapers anymore and while this may be true at home; we have found that there isn’t always a restroom close enough for when she remembers she needs to go. Once we have passed this stage, I am sure the bag will be up for grabs between our college student and our nurse.
These bags and other products by TWELVElittle are available at most major retail outlets and on Amazon.
