Knights, Horses, Dinner and more in a Castle!
They say that the most Magical Place in the world is Disney, but Medieval Times makes their own kind of magic that you don’t want to miss!
About Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament:
Travel through the mists of time to a forgotten age and a tale of devotion, courage and love—at Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament. Imagine the pageantry and excitement that would have been yours as a guest of the royal court ten centuries ago. That’s exactly what you will experience at North America’s most popular dinner attraction. See our electrifying show featuring heroic knights on spirited horses displaying the astounding athletic feats and thrilling swordplay that have become hallmarks of this unique entertainment experience. Enjoy a “hands-on” feast as the dynamic performance unfolds before you. A sweeping musical score and brilliant lights provide a fabulous backdrop for this spellbinding experience that blurs the boundary between fairy tale and spectacle!
Medieval Times is more than just a dinner show! It’s more than just a unique dining experience. This dinner show theater will take you back to the time of castles, dungeons, duels and royalty. From the moment you step out of your car and into the castle you are made to feel like part of the royal court.
The Show:
Since Kristin and Hannah had been to the show before, they knew it would be more fun to be in the first row. We upgraded our tickets to VIP! We were first row VIP, center for our Knight, who wore the colors of black and white. Each Knight, 6 in all, are fighting for the title of the King’s Champion. The show is very interactive and includes Knight’s engagement with the crowd, live animal viewing and dueling and fencing action. Some lucky viewers even received a beautiful carnation from their knight. Hannah actually got one from our very handsome Knight! She was thrilled!
The whole night was non-stop action and adventure. We were rooting for our Black and White Knight and he was not only handsome, but had amazing skill. All the Knights were amazing, on their horses and fighting “to the death.”
The show also includes the stunning visual abilities of falcons and horses. Horses gallop and prance showing off there majestic abilities throughout the arena. This was our favorite part of the show. Who knew horses could almost fly?
Hands-on Meal:
The food is just as amazing as the show. Medieval Times’ noble guests feast upon a 4-course meal that includes garlic bread, tomato bisque soup, roasted chicken, sweet buttered corn, herb-basted potatoes, the pastry of the Castle, coffee and two rounds of select beverages. The chicken was so tender, it fell off the bone. The garlic bread was given to all, so no need to worry about Garlic Breath. 🙂 The fun part is you don’t get any utensils. They do, however, provide you with plenty of napkins and wet wipes for afterwards!
Learn some history:
Either before or after the show, take a tour through the castle and see some real period fixtures and staples from the medieval times. Clothing, beds, cooking, candles, dungeon shackles and more are just a few items you will see. It was really captivating and shows how things have changed so much over the centuries. It was raining when we got there so we took an abbreviated tour so as not to get too wet.
We didn’t want the night to end, but alas, there is always next time. Are you ready to take your family to Medieval Times? They have several locations throughout the U.S. Stay connected socially to find a location near you or near your next vacation destination. We had an amazing time at the Orlando Castle!
