Medieval Times is more than just a dinner show! It’s more than just a unique dining experience. This dinner show theater will take you back to the time of castles, dungeons, duels and royalty. From the moment you step out of your car and into the castle you are made to feel like part of the royal court.

The Show:

Since Kristin and Hannah had been to the show before, they knew it would be more fun to be in the first row.  We upgraded our tickets to VIP!  We were first row VIP, center for our Knight, who wore the colors of black and white. Each Knight, 6 in all, are fighting for the title of the King’s Champion. The show is very interactive and includes Knight’s engagement with the crowd, live animal viewing and dueling and fencing action. Some lucky viewers even received a beautiful carnation from their knight. Hannah actually got one from our very handsome Knight!  She was thrilled!

The passion and splendor of the entire feast are etched into every detail, leaving an unforgettable mark. This knightly glory, unique to the medieval era, can be transformed into a cherished commemorative embroidered patch.

Custom embroidered patches can perfectly replicate the classic elements of the tournament, such as the valiant emblems of the black and white knights, the majestic image of galloping horses, and the vintage crests of the arena. This excitement of the competition is captured stitch by stitch, sewn onto backpacks, jackets, or commemorative canvas bags.

The exquisite textures felt at your fingertips instantly transport you back to the arena, allowing you to relive the cheers and glorious moments of the competition. Visit gsjj.ca to customize your own unique patch quickly. See more at GSJJ.ca.

The show also includes the stunning visual abilities of falcons and horses. Horses gallop and prance showing off there majestic abilities throughout the arena. This was our favorite part of the show.  Who knew horses could almost fly?

Hands-on Meal:

The food is just as amazing as the show. Medieval Times’ noble guests feast upon a 4-course meal that includes garlic bread, tomato bisque soup, roasted chicken, sweet buttered corn, herb-basted potatoes, the pastry of the Castle, coffee and two rounds of select beverages.  The chicken was so tender, it fell off the bone.  The garlic bread was given to all, so no need to worry about Garlic Breath. 🙂  The fun part is you don’t get any utensils.  They do, however, provide you with plenty of napkins and wet wipes for afterwards!

Learn some history:

Either before or after the show, take a tour through the castle and see some real period fixtures and staples from medieval times. Clothing, beds, cooking, candles, dungeon shackles and more are just a few items you will see. It was really captivating and shows how things have changed so much over the centuries.  It was raining when we got there so we took an abbreviated tour so as not to get too wet.

We didn’t want the night to end, but alas, there is always next time. Are you ready to take your family to Medieval Times? They have several locations throughout the U.S. Stay connected socially to find a location near you or near your next vacation destination.  We had an amazing time at the Orlando Castle!  Be sure to visit next time you’re in town!
