Summer is just around the corner and the kids will be home spending long lazy days playing in the warm sunshine. So, why not give them a treat like these Sunshine-Themed Cupcakes to match the occasion?! These fun cupcakes are super easy to make starting with a box cake mix, frosting, and some bugles. Aren’t they adorable?

Ingredients
12 cupcakes from your favorite recipe or boxed mix
2 to 3 cups vanilla frosting in yellow (Used Pillsbury Funfetti Frosting in Yellow)
Bugles corn snacks
You will also need:
Large open star tip (Wilton 1M Open Star Piping Tip)
Piping bag
Instructions
Pipe frosting over cupcake in a circular direction working from the center of the cupcake towards the outside.
Place Bugles along the edge of the icing, pressing firmly, to represent the sun’s rays.
Cooks notes: If you want to add a step to this idea, coat Bugles in melted yellow candy wafers. Allow to dry before applying to the cupcakes.
