Not Just Any Baby Dolls! Adora Baby Dolls #Review

February 16, 2015 by Victoria

MDR review-disclosure

Any parent to little girls knows that a doll isn’t just a doll.  Children view them with care, paying special care and attention to every detail.  When our Adora dolls arrived my daughters went on, and on, about everything they loved about their PlayTime Baby doll.  I doubt Baby Girl could love anything more. She pointed out the eyelashes, eyebrows, and fingernails. Yup, finger nails! I don’t think I have ever noticed a doll with finger nails before.  They look like beautiful nails painted with clear nail polish.  They are so shiny, I can’t describe them any other way than stunning!

My husband immediately noticed the smell.  When you hug these beautiful works of art, you are instantly taken by their fragrance.  It was a familiar scent that we couldn’t put our finger on. After looking at adoradolls.com we discovered that each handmade doll is “lightly baby powder scented”.  (This makes for extra special cuddles!)

One of the dolls that we received is designed to be used the bath or pool.  It is called the BathTime Baby. I was initially concerned because the body of the doll didn’t feel like something that should go inside of water.  The swimsuit area of the doll is sewn as part of the body and there are beads in this area of the doll.  Again, I ran over to the website to confirm its use.  There, I learned that this doll line was designed with a “QuikDri” body.  So long as the doll is placed in a location that promotes drying (meaning, don’t leave it on the bottom of the tub), the body does dry very quickly.

I was surprised to see that my daughter could use the BathTime Baby doll’s towel/robe to dry her off and the doll didn’t continue to leak water after the bath was over.  So long as she keeps her Bath Time Baby inside of her towel/robe, she can quickly resume playing with her shortly after the bath. The doll is completely dry within an hour after being removed from moisture.

The Adora dolls are very light weight and easy for Baby Girl to carry up and down the stairs with. She cuddles with them frequently during naps and at night – and REFUSES to take a bath without her BathTime Babies.  I mean, she WILL NOT bathe without these dolls!  I think if she had to choose her favorite, she would say the BathTime line is her favorite because she loves to take dolls in the bath, but she generally can’t play with them anywhere else since most dolls tend to leak after being exposed to water.  The flexibility of use with this doll design is perfect.  They really keep up with the my daughter like no doll we have ever had before can.  In the water, out of the water, wherever she goes!  Adora’s line of bath dolls are perfect for her.

Adora grows with your child!  Unlike other doll lines, Adora has a doll for whatever stage your child is in.  They have dolls for babies, toddlers, young girls, older girls, and they even have collectible dolls for adults (I am in LOVE with their Wizard of Oz collection).  Stop by Adora Dolls online to learn more about all of the wonderful handmade dolls they have available.  I promise, you will find the perfect doll at Adora!
